Daily Market Analysis for 21 Jun 2011 Close

Market Timing Summary:

Market Timing Direction: SHORT

 Direction  Note
Market Breadth Pattern Bearish Yesterday’s rise was not significant enough to trigger any of my bullish patterns. We did not see significant number of range-bound and up-trending stocks being accumulated yet. Thus, we still see higher probability and magnitude of downside move than upside move.

Keep in mind that the market timing model may stay in one direction for several weeks or months.

Primary Market Breadth  Bearish Primary market breadth has turned bearish.
Monetary Conditions  Bullish Monetary base keeps being added into the system significantly. Similarly, short-term interest is still much lower than longer term interest rate. Thus, Interest Rate Pump factor continues to rise.
Industry Rotation Strong: Trucking, Aerospace & Defense, RestaurantsIT Services, Publishing.
Weak : Recreational Goods, Rare Earth, China, India, Railroads.

Note: Any change from previous day summary is highlighted in blue.
